Rebecca (Section 6)

Before I became an usher, I had my own fears and insecurities. I really don't like to mix around or mingle with people. Then one Sunday afternoon, after our CG meeting, my CGL asked me to join the Usher Ministry. I told him I am not ready yet. But my members encouraged me to give it a try. Then I told them, okay, why not? Then suddenly, I felt that I should not think negatively.

Then I told myself, I am doing this because I want to serve our Lord Jesus who died for our sins. I want to be a faithful servant. Whenever I serve as an usher, I felt that I am very close to God. I feel the joy and peace of mind. When serving God, I find it very fulfilling and a part of God's family.

Ever since I joined the Usher Ministry, my life has been completely changed. There is no fear, inferiority and no insecure feelings (like disappointments, pain, grief, setbacks) that we sometimes experience in our daily lives. But despite all these circumstances, I will not give up hope because I know God is there for me, to guide me and take all my burdens, and knowing that really brightens up my day.
